Well, the word “connected” is thrown around a lot these days, but a lot of people just mean that it’s all about the internet. But really, when you think about it, if you’re not online, you’re not connected. This means that we can be in touch, in a sense, with our own minds without actually having to talk to a computer.
We’re still in the early days of our understanding of connected health, but I think the evidence is there. We know that exercise and good nutrition can have a direct impact on our health, but that’s not the whole story. A recent study from Harvard found that physical activity helps us get in touch with our minds. We’re not just talking about being more active, we’re talking about being connected.
I think that’s a pretty clever way of saying that exercise and good nutrition can have a direct impact on our health, but that it has a positive impact on our mental health as well. We can talk to our minds without using words, and that is truly incredible.
Yes you can! In fact, it’s incredibly easy. Just go outside where the sun is shining and take a walk. Maybe take a walk around your neighborhood, or maybe just take the stairs up to the roof of your building. Have a friend come and walk with you. The closer we get to the sun, the more we’re connected to it.
And when we walk, we tend to walk with our eyes closed, which can be a good thing. The more we can see and the less we think, the less we have to keep track of. The less we have to think, the less energy we need and the less stress we have to deal with. But maybe even more importantly, the less we are stressed, the less we can be stressed.
Some folks just want to avoid the noise. But in most cases, we don’t need to worry about it, because we don’t have to worry and it’s just as easy as walking past our house.
But the noise and stress we deal with have to be managed. And being able to manage our stress is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today.
The good news is that your health is pretty much in control, if you have good self-awareness. The bad news is that if you dont have self-awareness, then you are more likely to die.
